My local Verizon store seems to think it only works with contract phone + data plans -- NOT with prepaid data-only purchases. But one online user says that with SIM card change you could use Prepaid data service, to avoid activation fee and give more flexibility (though it seems cost / GB of data would be higher?) If this is possible and you'd need a different SIM than it comes with, how/where would you get the SIM for prepaid service (if my local store is unwilling/unable to provide it?)
