I had called Verizon around Oct 22nd/23rd in connection to a trip to Shanghai. I was looking for a data plan for a 1 week trip. Easy right! Hell no!
I had to deal with customer service 4 times.
1. The first call, the rep says it can only be done in a store and sent me to a Verizon store saying I had to be there in person!
2. I make time away from work and show up at the Flemington, NJ store. The man there sends me back to customer service again but with a bogus phone number because I protested!
3. A wild goose chase later, I call the number I called the first time. She puts me on hold for a long time and does whatever and tells me I am all set for the trip and would get an email!
4. Sure I got an email but it was an "estimate" and I did not have a plan. So I call again.
5. This lady did her job right and set it up and set up a cancellation and all's well for that trip.
I felt I was being bullied since it should not be that hard to satisfy such a minor request! But it did not end there!
I FIND OUT THEY BUMPED UP MY DATA PLAN CHARGE as of November.
I had an unlimited data plan (I was grandfathered into that plan) and suddenly I am being charged more as of that transaction.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT YOU CAN TREAT CUSTOMERS SO SHABBILY!!!!
I need my plan reinstated.
