Message+ deleting texts - box not checked!

I recently got a Droid Turbo 2 and began using Message+. Under advanced settings I UNchecked the "delete old messages" box when I started using it, but I was looking for some old messages today and realize that some of my messages gave been deleted without my doing so. It's not ALL my old messages, just SOME of them. Unfortunately, it's the ones I really need. So - how do I keep this from happening? And is there anyway I can get them back? I tried restoring messages and that didn't work.

timandtuesday, Messages can be very important especially when needed. I'll be more than happy to assist you. Your messages may be syncing with Integrated Messaging. To verify visit www.vtext.com and sign in with your My Verizon login/password. As for the messages that were deleted, what patterns have you noticed? Were they older? From the same contact? Any details can help.

Thanks for the quick reply. I logged in an they are syncing with that service, but it's the same texts that are on my phone. I don't see the deleted ones there. I can't really tell a pattern. Anything I had on there from before Jan 1st are still there. Everything between Jan 1st and Jan 10th is gone. After that, it's spotty. Some conversations have just disappeared, others are still there.

Of course, that's what we are here for.

Do you recall any changes you made to your device prior to the messages disappearing? New software? New app? Did maybe someone change any settings on your device? Additionally, how long have the messages been gone for?

I only noticed that they were gone yesterday. There is one thing I've done.

My Message+ icon on the bottom was showing 1 unread message for several

weeks, even if I had several unread messages or zero unread messages. It

was driving me crazy so I looked it up on this forum. I found a thread that

said to go to apps and clear the data out of badger then restart the phone.

I did that. The notification went away but since then there is never a

notification on the icon.
