What can be done to boost the LTE signal inside of a school where voice reception is non-existent? The school is Mortimer Jordan High in Kimberly, Al 35091. This is needed for additional security for the students.
Sounds like a DAS / Repeater system building-wide is needed. Unless the school is willing to volunteer some land for a cell site? Most schools I've seen are thick brick with metal reinforcements, making them faraday cages.
We are dedicated to offering you the best possible service where you need it most, Rcline. Does the voice and data reception improve right outside of the school? Has it worked here in the past? The school could always pay to have repeaters installed in the school.
The reception outside of the school has 1 bar, maybe two with absolutely no service inside the school. We are looking for available options to increase the signal inside the school through a booster of some kind. Being that there are numerous students with Verizon as their provider, is there anything available through Verizon such as a microcell or picocell installation?
Certainly, but the school has to pay for it. Verizon won't give it to them for free.
Is it just a one time fee for the purchase of the equipment? Any recommendations on how to go about doing this?
We know its important to have service at the school for students Rcline. The community is correct. The school can purchase boosters to help with the signal problems inside and directly outside the school. Here is some information to take back to your Administration team vz.to/1LUXZ2d .

Did you intend to send an information link in your response that I could provide to the school admin?
What about the address they had in their post, vz.to/1LUXZ2d. While it does not come up as a link, if you copy/paste it into your browser it will take your to the following address:
Verizon Wireless Network Extender for Business
Of course, you would most likely have to have MANY of these units installed throughout the school. I know in my place of employment there are probably more than 100 of these installed throughout the building. Whether or not they are the Verizon models, I wouldn't know.
