Switching from plan to prepaid

I currently am on a contract that will end in October and would like to switch to a prepaid plan because it would be much cheaper for me. I know there are early termination fees and I would like to know how much it would cost for me to cancel my plan and switch to a prepaid plan right now.

call 800-256-4646 and ask for fee and if you think it be worth you can ask to do that for you to migrate your number from post pay to prepay account.

Be careful I did that now my data usage is 4x what it was. $45 ends up being $65-70. Bunch of [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service].
