Again I go to SamsungPromotions.com/Verizonoffer and no place to register for the Watch just the VR. I have the Receipt because I paid for the phone completely today and I have the Confirmation number. I was told I could order the watch as long as I did those two thing online. They have the VR info up but no Watch info???

it won't go live until they ship. Also they won't approve it until after the return dates.

You cannot "register" until you activate the new phone, which you cannot do until it is in your hands.

I have recently "registered" A GS6, they sent me an email once I activated with my Samsung account.

It's not through Samsung so that website won't offer the watch. I contacted Samsung today and received an email from the promotions department. They said it's through Verizon and not them.

Don't get so worked up about it. If you read the fine print on the Samsung redemption site where you can sign up for an email to be reminded about the program you will notice some key things.

1- the redemption site goes live on 3/4/16

2- in the fine print at the bottom there is a link that takes you to the terms. Those terms outline that if you did purchased online through Verizon, you can chose from the two. It list the different programs from each company.

So basically check back on 3/4 and register for your watch. (they chose the color evidently so you may have to trade for the one you want). Hope this helps.

The ad is misleading. You have to trade in a smartphone in order to get money for the gear 2. It's $100 for any smartphone, $200 for Galaxy S5 or Note 4, $300 for Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ or Note 5. That's where the free part applies. The only thing you actually get free is the Gear VR.

Yes, but I am asking for where it says you have to trade in anything to get it. All documentation I have seen makes no mention of any trade in.

NOt true. You don't need to trade in anything.

You would only have to trade in a device is your line was under a contract or current Edge plan that allows a trade in for early upgrade. This has nothing to do with the preorder or eligibility for the promotion.

Its live now but you actually need the phone in hand to complete the claim. it is asking for the phone's IMEI number and wifi mac address..... Not sure how to get this info without the phone and my order is still processing?? Some T-mobile customers have said their s7's have already shipped and will be at their house before 3/11..... anyone else seeing this when trying to claim the gear s2?

Samsung promotion page notes that if you bought with verizon.com its a black gear s2. But you can file claim without the phone. Has anyone had their phone ship yet????

NO you can't... You still need the WIFI Mac address which REQUIRES the phone in your hand to get.

As Tidbits said, you will need the MAC address which is a number that is physically encoded into the wifi card. Once the phone is received, you will be able to retrieve it.

Here's what I know about this promo... The $100 is if you place an S7 order on the phone. They apply a $100 credit "toward a gear or VR" i guess. Now for the fun stuff. Online orders. As of 3/4 the promo website is open to submit your "prize" order. You will need the physical phone in hand to do so as the website requires MAC ID's and such. The website is scheduled to go offline on 3/31. The "while supplies last" qualifies the "supplies" as 300,000 devices, which i assume are watches. Here's the kicker. The S7 Edge Silver is on back order. My receipt specified a potential ship date of 3/31. You guys can do the math here, but 1) If you ordered a silver s7 edge, you will never see a gear or VR. (the website will be down by the time you have your device in hand to submit your order) 2) Supplies will be gone, if they aren't already, by 3/11 or very close thereafter. So good luck, but this is as close to a scam as I've ever seen. I hope everything I've said is wrong, but in speaking to a Prizelogic rep, they sound to be getting phone call after phone call of people putting the pieces together and realizing they aren't ever going to see a watch or a VR. It has already been explained about the 300K units. It's been repeated on multiple venues and on here. That's what Samsung supplied and not actually Supply. The 300K was an under grossly estimated figure on top of that.

You are ridiculous. Just fill out the information. It makes it seem like you only can choose the gear vr, but on the last page for confirmation on the bottom, it asks what you want in a roll down button on the bottom, right of the center. I just did it after reading your complaints, and now I get a great s2 haha.

Those people waiting for backordered silver s7 will not be privy to the promo, Prize Logic stated unequivocally in no uncertain terms will anyone be able to register their device for the promo after 3/31 and they also stated that if phones on backorder are shipped prior to 3/31 you can register to qualify but they said hundreds of thousands of submissions have already been received and there is only 35k allotted for this promo with nothing further being allocated so they explained to me....

although you would still be able to qualify by registering if you receive your phone before 3/31, I was told by prize logic, "I can not say you will not get the watch but all you have to do is the math and figure it out for yourself..." prize logic was very forthright, blunt and unwavering ............. only 35k watches, first come first serve basis and stated that the claims are being processed now and being done by date of submission...........

considering there were millions of preorders and that prizelogic stated they have already received hundreds of thousands submissions..... those 35k virtually already been spoken for.... there is not 300k or any more being allocated like some people spreading unsubstantiated rumors..........

I also inquired about possibility of being able to get the VR if S2 is depleted, and was told no.... what will be done much like last week when samsung ran out of the free wireless charger for their samsung pay promo is they will offer you a coupon for % off future purchase once they post the s2 is out of stock and the promo has ended.

When the dust settles I will say "I told you so" There's more than that and Samsung already went on record. People are just regurgitating the negative. Have fun.

I inquired about the actual smartwatch device being offered in the promo, due to some misrepresented marketing, and received multiple "Hmm, I don't know" answers from most at Verizon (online and in stores).

The advance e-mail promotion we all received stated, "Gear S2 smartwatch ($349.99 value).

The verizonwireless.com site also states, "Gear S2 smartwatch ($349.99 value)" as well as "Gear S2 MSRP is $349.99

Gear S2 has a MSRP of $299.99, while the Gear S2 Classic has a MSRP of $349.99

The picture shown is clearly the regular Gear S2, but the higher value misrepresented is for the Gear S2 Classic.

The glossy Verizon flyer in the Sunday paper (3/13) announces "Gear S2. Save $100. Now $199.99 / Retail Price $299.99", which doesn't match the website or e-mail offer figures. [Right Hand, meet Left Hand]

Web sites for Samsung, Amazon, and Best Buy all list Gear S2 with retail price of $299.99, and the Gear S2 Classic with retail price of $349.99

I checked the status of mine today and it was changed to pending fulfillment. In the conditions it actually says something around the lines of no more than 35,000 S2's.

I was told by the Verizon rep that there were plenty of the s2 gear watches. That's the only reason I went with Verizon again. Ordered online on 3/11, drove an hour today to pick up my Galaxy S7 Edge at Fed-Ex that arrived today, excited to fill out promo code once home--and the watch is sold out. Not a happy camper. I was deceived. Any news about Verizon honoring their deal?

If they had 2M units, and then 4M units were sold there were plenty, but there were a lot more than Samsung had in supply. It happens, and the reason why they have the rules and it always says while supplies last.

I don't mind rules but I do mind when verizon mentions nothing about limited numbers available or that Samsung is running the promotion. Simply go to this site to redeem the offer. The advertising by verizon is very misleading and is definitely false advertising. If they mentioned terms and conditions anywhere on the verizon site it would be a little easier to swallow but it appears to guarantee as long as you meet the terms of buying a S7 by 3/18 and submitting by 3/31. The site still says you can get a gear S2 and we all know that isnt the case. I feel a class action lawsuit, unhappy customers, and complaints to the FTC (false advertising) and BBB coming on.

The rules say limited quantities and all the signage points to the tens and conditions. People had ample time to read them.

No where on the Verizon website could I find this disclaimer that if you didnt get your phone from Fedex earlier enough on the first day orders were delivered that you would not get a watch. How many did they have 3, maybe 4 watches. I have absolutely no use for the VR.

The site opened 3-4 and I think the first phones arrived 3-7. I put my promotion in one 3-10 and it looks like it just ran out. So I would say a week is longer than I expected it would be

Verizon will lose a lot of customers for this. And rightfully so. (me being one of them). They shouldn't have signed on to do this promotion if they weren't going to have a way to properly track quantities available. Most verizon customer service reps don't even know the watches are so;d out so they just keep saying "yeah, you can get the watch deal until the 18th." According to one post I read, the promoter just started checking through submissions from preorders so chances are, those people saying their submissions went through a few day ago probably STILL won't get a watch and those who preordered a back ordered phone are just [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] Verizon really [removed] on this one. Hopefully there's a backlash from customers that actually has an affect. I returned my phone and will be switching to a different carrier.

At the time of this posting, there are no watches left yet Verizon is STILL promoting it on their homepage! Talk about shady business practices!!!

Yes Verizon probably should of had a disclaimer for that but it was Samsung promotion and it was on their site. I believe it said 35000 s2 watches and 300000 vr headsets. To me I wanted the s7 edge before I even knew about the promotion. I was going to be a s6 edge and then saw the s7 edge would be out in a month. Ya it sweetened the deal but it's not the end of the world if I don't get one because I read the terms and conditions and knew there was a limited quantity of each. I do think itshe unfair for the people who pre-ordered and didn't get theirs in time but you never know how much of what and what color you need. Verizon does need to remove the ad from their website.

That is not correct---

When the pre-orders started, the terms and conditions did not specify 35k watches..... this was added to the fine print later after the registration page for the S2 went live... so those people that pre-ordered had no clue that this was more of a lottery than a promo offer..... there was no disclaimer that if VZW postpones your pre-order that you would not be able to qualify, yet if you called into customer service regarding your concerns CS Reps assured us that " there is nothing to worry about, you will still qualify..." there are a number of online screen chats show this and many people that called in can testify as well....... in essence people that took the initiative to pre-order but had their order delayed can not participate but new customers who ordered a black or or gold 2 weeks later and already received their phone were able to participate regardless....

I pre-ordered 2-28 and that day I looked on the website and read the terms and conditions it was there 35,000 for s2 and 300,000 for vr. Maybe no one noticed it due to no one thinking their phones would be back ordered. I was told when I pre-ordered to sign up right away as its limited quantities. The rep that sold me my phone in store also said I could get a watch which I can't cause I ordered in store. Yes Verizon did not handle this well but it may or may not be their fault as Samsung is offering the promotion and they set the quantity limit. Verizon just goes by what the are told. I'm seeing that cause the 2 people I talked to on the phone and the 6 online all gave me the same answer. So probably just going by what they are told

too fell victim to Verizon's inability to pull advertising for a promotion that is no longer being fulfilled. Samsung did state in their disclaimer, that supplies are limited. Verizon chose not to follow suit. That is on Verizon. Also on Verizon is the fact that they are still advertising this promotion. If you follow the steps to claim your promotion, you will be sad. You don't actually get to see Samsung's disclaimer until you follow step two. Step one is to buy the phone. So, I bought my phone yesterday. Today I get my new phone. I pulled up the Samsung page to start my promo claim and BEHOLD, no more gear S2's. The misrepresentation on Verizon's part has been documented and sent to legal counsel. I am not an attorney but I do know a few. They will let me know soon, if there is a case against the misleading and misrepresentation that I and many others, have fallen victim to.

I am under contract with Verizon until August, have been with Verizon for 20 years. I'm now switching to T mobile. They'll buy out the remainder of my plan with Verizon AND they are offering buy one, get one free for Galaxy S7. Plus, my bill will be $30 less. Maybe you should read more closely. Verizon's offer tells you to go to SamsungPromotions.com/VerizonOffer where it DOES say "While supplies last".

And anytime we, as consumers, make a purchase, we're making ASSUMPTIONS. We assume that they retailer is going to fulfill the order in accordance with federal and state laws, that we'll receive the product within a reasonable time period, that any advertised promotions will be honored, etc. The Samsung/Verizon promotion simply wasn't handled well. However, it isn't too late for VZW to do something about it. Fingers crossed that they try to make this right for those of us left out due to inadequate supplies (speaking of the phone in this case).

It's also important to note that Verizon states it is a $349 dollar value, and the offer redemption site says it's a $300 value. I spent close to an hour on the phone with Carissa, and I explained all these points. I was basically told to bad, I should have known it would run out. And that she was passing the information up. We know what that means. They wouldn't even refund a restocking fee to return the phone! They offered nothing, this is so scammy. I didn't realize Verizon was like this now.

there are other ways to seek remedy though, in light of all the facts and mis-facts regarding this pre-order and promo and assurances and promises from VZW reps not to be concerned while the promo is still being currently advertised it might be prudent to contact BBB but even more important is your states Attorney General..... most states have a web site where you can start a claim = "If you’ve been victimized by fraud, deception, or unfair methods of competition" and have a Consumer Protection Division under the Attorney General office where you can upload documents etc..... the more claims filed to the consumer protection department the faster they usually act......

The problem is if they had 3 million but sold 5 million product then the FTC will do nothing at all. They do not have to accommodate everyone, because they want something as it has already explained while supplies last. The LG offering said the same thing 2 years in a row, and probably a 3rd time when the G5 comes out.

$200 that it'll fall flat your AG will do NOTHING because the terms are there, and if people followed the links they'd see the terms. They don't hide it either. LG promotion went through the SAME thing 2 years in a row. They are not going to take it down until ALL items are gone not because what you wanted is all taken up.

When you're on the phone with verizon and the sales person is telling you "sure, you can still order and get the watch" as a representative of the company, verizon is still culpable. And to STILL be advertising it as both when they know the watches are sold out is wrong no mater what the terms and conditions say.

My situation is very similar! I received the S7 on 3/10!Purchased Online as requested to get the Gear S2 I went to the website and requested the Gear S2 and I uploaded the online receipt that I got on the time of the purchase.

But I did order my phone online! I did got to request a Gear S2! Why I am not eligible ? This is a very deceiving marketing strategy by both Samsung and Verizon that is not complying with the promotional agreements. I read the fine line that said limited supply for Gear S2, and when I order they still had it available.

What I don't understand why I am not eligible if I purchased on online and followed all the instructions !

Well, they apparently DO have more watches. I got my phone today and I just went and registered for the promotion and the watch was available as a choice again. I picked it and everything went through fine.

THE WEBSITE IS FIXED AND YOU CAN REGISTER FOR THE WATCH AGAIN!! Doesn't affect me now because I'm switching to tmobile but for those who still want to try, they say they are going to honor it since the 35k statement wasn't in bold type. give it a shot

Also it was already more than 35K like I said... think about it....

People started to get their phones on the 9th. It is now the 16th a week later. If they had 35k it would have been gone on the 10th if not the 11th.

My status says Fulfillment Pending. So I hope I indeed get them. Don't want the Gear VR. If I wanted that, I would go to other store and get them plus a free gift, like Target giving the Gear VR and a $100 gift card, or BestBuy giving the VR plus a 64gb microsd. So I expect they give what they offered.

I had no problem ordering the watch ...the window showing the VR is a drop window that also has an option to select gear S2...lol shouldn't rant and slow down when you fill stuff out

We're NOT stupid. When they ran out, there was NO drop down option for the watch. Once they made the watch available again, the drop down option appeared again. So don't assume other people were too dumb to figure out how to get the free watch. You weren't there, trying to order it when they first ran out.

I ordered the s7 edge in silver got it march 11 and ordered my promotional offer of the gear s2. Today I got this message( Submission Approved. Preparing for Shipment. Shipping Date estimate: Pending). So yes it was possible to order the silver s7 edge, get it March 11 and place the order for the gear s2.

I agree and felt the same why. I really do not think it was appropreiate to show both as offer when actually only one was trying part of the promotion. I think it was to get pre order sales and people to buy phones by a certain time.

well this is delightful I have been approved with estimated ship date pending for over two weeks, now all of a sudden today it says no email associated with the promo....NOT HAPPY!

Ha! I finally got an email that I was approved (I have two coming) and they were shipping soon---I check the site for a little more detail and mine read the same thing: "No Email Associated With This Promo." Both emails read the same response. Now, it reads "Error Processing Your Request."

OMG Agreed on the [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] show! I just understand how the status hasn't changed in over two weeks...but I guess technically it did since it now shows I have no email associated!

I had same issue with no email etc etc it's now showing same as it was two or three weeks ago, approved and pending ship date.

Verizon isn't the ones shipping the watches. Prize logic are the ones who are shipping them.

still nothing happening over here, been estimated ship date pending for about 4 weeks now, nothing on fed ex manager either. has anyone else had any positive movement?

No movement here I so hate to wait. Wish something would happen like my

status would change, the item is shipped. But I got nothing yet on when it

Nothing yet. An email would be nice just to let us know something, having a status that hasn't changed in a month is frustrating.

still nothing in fed ex but its nice to see something change!!!

LOL, I have both the Samsung and fed ex page up all day and check them both at least every half hour while at work! Hopefully this means something is going to happen soon!

Just checked and mine was changed to what ya'll said, "in route", I hope it is by FedEx or UPS and not the Pony Express....

It's by FedEx. Also it's their cheapest shipping so it'll take 5-7 days.

My status changed too finally to say in route.

i checked my status for Gear S2 and it is on its way, FedEx tracking provided and should be delivered 4/19/16,That is great news. now the bad part. I leave on business trip the day before. At least it will be there when i get back.

Checked the status of both of mine, and they now read in route. Checked FedEx Delivery Manager and I have a tracking number for a package shipping from Indiana with a delivery date of tomorrow. One down!
