Why can't I activate a mobile hotspot on my android device?

Just switched from an old Iphone 5s to an LG G3 and the hotspot feature says I require a subscription to mobile hotspot or mobile broadband connect. I never had to do anything with my iphone I just turned it on and off and it was good to go. Why is this asking me to sign up for something?

Chatted with technical support via chat, and within 20 seconds they had the problem spotted to mobile hot spot being disabled on the line, they enabled it had me restart the phone and it instantly worked.

I am on the more everything plan with 6gb of data. I have been on this plan since it came out. This issue has been the same on every android based phone I have had LG G2, G3 and Droid Maxx. Never had this issue on any apple phone. wifes works normal, iphone 5s i had before the android device worked normal

Thanks for those additional details. The More Everything plan definitely includes the Mobile Hotspot feature.

What have you done in the past to correct the error message? Have you restarted your device? Software up to date on the phone?

It has never worked on any android device, same message, all phones up to date

Anyone else have any suggestions, this feature has never worked on any of my android devices works flawless on apple phones.
