Got chargeback of 300$ after 3 months of closing connection

I have traded in a good condition samsung mobile and took a s6 in November. After that due to some problem I closed the service and returned the phone within a week. I traded in the phone in Dublin,CA store and never received the old phone back. 3 months after closing the connection and clearing all the dues now I am getting a chargeback of 300$ for trade in. The store told me since I returned the new device within trial period so we will be eligible for the promo credit. But now I lost my old phone and got a bill of 300. What to do now, please help.

Terms state that once a phone is traded in it won't be returned. So it's best to know you intend to stay with the trade/promotion before opting to trade in your device because if you change your mind you will be without it. As far as being charged the $300...I'm not sure if the terms state if you terminate the agreement (in this case return the purchased phone) that you are no longer eligible for the gift card. If it does say that somewhere in the fine print then that would explain the charge back. Doesn't matter if you traded in your old phone if you didn't complete the entire requirements for the gift card (returning the purchased phone means you didn't meet the requirements for the promotion). If all of that is the case it's unfortunate but I'm not sure if there is much they will do for you at this point other than maybe give you credit for whatever they value your trade in for. Hopefully you'll get some sort of resolution.

Yes it was a promotion. I could trade in my old phone for $300 credit. After closing the connection they kept my old phone and provided a 300$ verizon gift card.

I left Att and came to Verizon because I was told my bill was going to be cheaper. Well It wasn't it was higher once I got my first bill. Then I was also told that they would pay off my contact with Att and they lied about that also. They are only paying $730 on a $1340 bill. So I have to figure out how to come up with the extra money. My I phone 6s messed up about a month after I had it. They told me in the store it was covered under the warranty and then I get an email from Verizon telling me that it isn't covered and I owe $329 for the phone. The replacement phone they sent was a refurbished phone. So why did I not get a new phone instead of the used one? So now I am paying for a used phone and a new phone. Something just doesn't seem right. I think I got the royal you no what!!

The switch promo says up to $650 per line...And I believe it's a certain amount towards device if you were on a device payment plan (that would get you the max $650 based on what was owed) or a lesser amount towards an ETF if you were under contract. Depending on how many lines you ported over and what was being covered it's probably correct that your $1300 bill wouldn't be covered completely. Can't really say without details. As far as your replacement phone...once you are past the 14 day return/exchange period replacement devices will be refurbished. That's true with all carriers. So yes, the device replacement you received is appropriate. As far as the $329 you were charged...sounds like you had damage that was not covered under the standard warranty so you were charged the out of warranty fee. If you had water damage or physical damage then yes, you will be charged for the replacement because your device isn't covered for that. If you had AppleCare+ as your insurance you would have been able to get a replacement device for a cheaper deductive than the $329 you paid as it covers accidental damage. Same is true if you had insurance through Verizon with Asurion (I think it may be $199 with them).
