No service for my daily drive to work

On my way to work every day there is a 7 mile stretch of spotty service alternating between no service and one bar of 1x. Calls drop when I get to this stretch of road close to the following address:

7851–7871 GA Highway 87

Juliette, GA 31046

United States

Highway 87 not having service on this stretch of road is very inconvenient and is on the way to where I work which is a power plant that employs over 400 people. Most of which use verizon as there service provider, they all complain about the lack of service in this area.

I am not sure if I am posting in the correct location about my issue however something needs to be done about this because it is effecting many people on there commute from Macon Georgia to the power plant on lake Juliette(plant Scherer). I feel that this is unacceptable considering I am paying $233 a month for a cellphone that is useless on my way to and from work.

Pleas assist me with this issue.

Reception is important to us and we're always happy to take feedback on where we can improve. I was able to take a look at this area, and there will definitely be some challenging spots here. Most of the sites are going to be along the major roads, such as 75 & 16. The problem here is that there is some very, very dense forest all throughout this area and this will provide a lot of obstruction to the cell sites from the side roads. We can definitely submit a report on your behalf if you can get in touch with us by any of the other channels here: http://vz.to/1PA1v1Q That way it's at least down in the record that you've been experiencing trouble here. This is good to do, because it goes into future cell-site planning.

So is there a way to recieve a discount off my bill due to less than optimal coverage in an area in which I need it most? Should I seek gaining coverage from another carrier? Or can you assure me that something will be done about this issue.

Verizon technically doesn't have to credit / discount for lack of service in spots, due to the fact that mobile phone service comes with no guarantee of delivery. Nothing Wireless actually does. You can ask, and someone will probably help credit the bill for the trouble, but don't absolutely expect it to happen.

Everyone reporting issues in that area should be collectively asking Verizon on Twitter and in regular support methods to take a look and fix the problem. It's very possible that a cell went down or an antenna from a nearby tower is no longer pointed properly. Stuff happens. But in order for Verizon to do something, it requires everyone to report a problem at the same time to raise a high priority ticket. You may cite 911 concerns if you have to. Just don't mention data service.
