How do you report a loss of previous coverage?

Since approximately the beginning of the this year, my Verizon service coverage has dropped off at my workplace. I know it's not just me because other Verizon users here also have experienced the drop off across multiple devices.

I'm talking about an area where I used to get several bars of 4G service, that would periodically drop down to 3G. Now I'm lucky to even get a text message in our out, and have all but lost internet connectivity. I'm guessing there has been some sort of change of service or cell tower that has left us without cell reception. Thing is, the prior coverage was a major deciding factor for me to go with Verizon in the first place.

Zip is 92320 and I can send a specific address or GPS if needed.

SoCalPilot, keeping you up to speed with the coverage you are used to is what we are all about. I’m sorry to learn that you have been having trouble while at work. Is this only while inside of the building? What make/model phone do you have? Please share additional details with us so we can research this closer for you.

It is not only inside a building, but rather an entire area that used to have pretty good coverage.

As for phone(s) I personally had a Note II and switched to a S6 Edge+, hoping that was the issue. But I've since learned that other coworkers with Verizon have the same loss of coverage. Their phones include iPhone 5s, Galaxy S5s, and an unknown HTC (the "s" indicates plural for the iPhones and Galaxies S5).

I wondered if it was some sort of interference, but the AT&T and Sprint users here still have coverage.

Yes, I'd like to know the best way to report a service issue that has cropped up in an area that was always perfect till recently.

I posted a thorough description here about a week ago and never heard a peep.

VoLTE calling works fine in the problem area, but I normally keep it turned off as it isn't as reliable elsewhere.

Well there's my very detailed information. What is the next step? Is this an FCC matter since Verizon has no control over a competitors faulty equipment?

I can't complain about Verizon as it is extremely rare to have a signal issue ANYWHERE. Even traveling through the mountains of Western Pennsylvania, the signal is excellent!! Just strange to have a problem now in my home area that has been perfect for the last 15+ years till now??

I'm not sure what you expect the FCC to do. The FCC CANNOT require Verizon, or any other carrier for that matter, to have service in any given area.

There are factors which can change coverage area which Verizon has no control over. Construction, concentration of electronic interference, maturing foliage, change in atmospheric pattern, etc... can all affect cellular coverage. Verizon DOES NOT have control over these factors, nor should they.

IF service in this area is important to you, your next step MAY be to find a different provider which has better service in the area. Another provider MAY have towers which are better situated to service the area. Of course, they may not have sufficient service in other areas you would like.

Cellular service IS NOT and CANNOT have complete coverage by the simple nature of the technology. Coverage patterns CAN change due to outside forces not controllable by Verizon. For Verizon to overcome these outside forces by erecting new towers can take YEARS to get the needed governmental approvals in order to do so. Sometimes changing providers is the quickest way to overcome these problems.

Thanks for your input , but it is CLEARLY an interference issue from a NEW competitor's cell site that just started about 1 year ago when they went on the air. No tree's in the way, on top of a hill & still ruins the ability to make a call without severe break-up. The nearest Verizon CDMA tower is LOS from this area less than 1/2 mile away. There is no reason for the immediate area surrounding the new tower to be having this issue. Too easy to pinpoint the culprit & a huge inconvenience to Verizon customers.
