I've been with Verizon for 10 years and had two phones for the past 3 years. I recently switched to a prepaid account simply because it was $5/month less than a regular account and because I purchased three texting phones from verizon and all of them could not receive MMS messages. Big mistake. Being with verizon prepaid is nothing like being with regular verizon. I actually received two goodbye letters from verizon thanking me and asking to return at some point. I never left... When you call prepaid and try and speak with a representative, you can't and the automated system actually hangs up on you and has a scripted goodbye message. I've been with verizon because they had the best network and service...prepaid has the same network but the service is completely different. Traveling internationally next week and my phone won't work. My wife and kids are on Sprint and they added unlimited data and texting and $0.20/minute calls while we are traveling. Really disappointed with verizon and I did not even get into the month long hassle I had purchasing those three texting phones that did not work...nightmare. You can only imagine the billing problems that created.
