Can I add arrow keys to my keyboard?

When I had the Droid DNA, there was an option to add arrow keys to keyboard and another to calibrate typing & swyping. Are these no longer available on any Android OS? My friend's Samsung used to have arrow key option, as well.  I've asked Verizon & they said these aren't available on any phone--is this true?

Those are the functions in the keyboard application. You have to check the settings of the keyboard application you are using now or switch to one that has that functionality.
