Why does Verizon empower Restricted phone call makers and then only offer to help a subscriber by paying for the Family Plan to block the Verizon allowed calls? Most restricted calls are for solicitation and obnoxious. How is this an acceptable servi

Any explanation why Verizon allows Restricted Calls? You could block all of them just as you allow a user to do so with the Family Plan. Is there any redeeming value to a good Verizon Account receiving these calls? Is the only reason they are allowed is so you can encourage a Verizon customer to pay you another $5 per month? Seems like a scam!

Don't answer any calls that are restricted. If it is important, they will leave a message. Not everyone likes to have their number show up on caller ID.

If it is a friend of yours, simply let them know to add *82 before the number in order to have their restricted number show up for the one call. This can simply be added to the contact information on their phone so that it is automatically dialed.
