Fixed it under the email account settings to turn off the sync messages option.
I have seen a setting in the email application where you can control this. It seems to be an option on the Samsung phones. Is that what you have?

Receiving unwanted email can be annoying. Lets get this fixed asap. When did the issue start? Does it happen with every text message? What text message application are you using?

My phone started doing the same thing a couple of days ago after Samsung update and a company update. Now I get a copy of received text messages in my outlook inbox
