Force wifi on messages+

Please allow me to force WiFi on messages +. I have garbage signal at my house (only one bar, and it always drops down to 3g) so messages can take ages to download, especially MMS. Group messages are the worst, everybody is replying on a picture, and I'm just sitting here staring at 7 "downloading" messages that takes up to 20 mins to receive. I just want to force WiFi at my house so I can properly send/receive messages.

Other than that I love the app, I love the WiFi ability which works fantastic at work, since the hospital I work at gets absolutely no service in the building, the WiFi ability is amazing.

Your device must be Advanced Calling capable and Advanced Calling must be enabled on the device.

After which, Messages+ will use Wi-Fi to send and receive texts and make and receive calls.

It is never a fun time when you can't see pictures from your friends and family due long download time. I want to clarify how our message application works. Our Messages+ application does give you the capability of sending and receiving messages while on wifi. However, at this time, we don't have a way to change the settings where wifi takes precedence over the Verizon network. I apologize for this inconvenience. Currently, our network is setup to take priority over wifi settings if the wifi isn’t producing a strong signal. In order to stop this from occurring, you will need to turn off cellular data on your device and use wifi solely while at home.

Darkstar_Zero, what type of device are you using? Do you have a network extender at home?

I don't know how much more clear I can be.

If your device is capable of Advanced Calling then you must turn it on. Once you turn it on, the Messages+ application will then use Wi-Fi for texts and calls.

If you are not sure what this feature is, please visit a corporate store and ask them to explain it to you.
