screen no longer accessible while on a call

I can no longer access my screen while on a phone call. Usually, the screen will light up when I move from my ear so I can access the keypad. Or it lights when the call ends. Now, nothing at all. No buttons or actions will light it or allow me to end a call. I've checked settings and do not see anything that will apply.

Is the proximity sensor covered by a case, or dirty? It sounds to me like it's not working properly.

cynmovic, we want to get things back to the way that it use to be on your phone. When did this issue start? Which make/model phone do you have? Did you recently update the software or download a new application to it?
