ERROR 36 SMS FOR PIN NOT RECEIVED

I have a new MOTO G Play phone and I have installed Backup Assistant Plus.  When I start the application it displays a summary & the T&Cs.  I then hit AGREE and it says it is checking account.  It then says it is retrying authorization.  At the end of these 2 steps, it gives me the ERROR 36 SMS for PIN Not Received message.  Not sure how to fix.

I really appreciate you giving this great application a try, tdmceachin. Are you able to send and receive text messages? Do you encounter the same trouble using the Verizon Cloud application instead? Verizon Cloud www.vzw.com/cloud incorporated Backup Assistant into the application and has essentially replaced the need for Backup Assistant Plus or multiple backup applications.
