I am no longer able to access my photo gallery. I get an error message saying "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped". I click OK to dismiss the message. Can someone help?
Samsung Galaxy S6
Android version; 6.1.0
Thanks!
JAMBRE7,
We want to make sure you have access to all your memories! When did this start exactly? Let's try clearing the application cache and data and see if it will open. See how here https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-173557/.

Hi. This started happening after I downloaded the Google photo gallery app. I later uninstalled it because I thought it broke the gallery.
Unfortunately, your suggestion didn't work. I still cant get to the gallery after clearing the cache.
JAMBRE7, your time and efforts are appreciated. We're not giving up on this. You mentioned that the issue is still happening after clearing the application cache. Did you also clear data for the Gallery App as well? This does not erase your pictures but it does often clear that error message if both steps are performed. If you have cleared the data and the issue still persists, please power up the device in Safe Mode as follows: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/galaxy-s6-reset-restore-help/#power-up-in-safe-mode/ and see if the error message occurs when opening the Gallery. If it doesn't, you will want to uninstall any 3rd party applications recently downloaded as one of them may be the culprit of that error message.
