i want to remove the password because the device I'm trying to use I cannot enter a password. i was told I could do this but the phone won't let me
On the iPhone, you cannot have hotspot without a wifi password.
I have never seen a device that won't accept a password and requires you to have a very dangerous open hotspot to connect. Be glad it doesn't work, anyone could connect to you phone and use your data with no password.
Are you sure this device cannot be changed to a password? I find it hard to believe you can't.
its gps equipment for construction needs the wifi but cannot have a password. Disappointed I cannot guess I will be taking the iPhone back and going back to droid
