Not receiving some text messages after Marshmallow Update

I updated to Marshmallow 6.0 and noticed after that update I was not receiving some text messages here and there...When talking a person back and forth I was wondering why I would not hear from them for hours then I noticed that some messages werent coming through..I deleted the cache data in the phone in my settings and still have the same issue...However I notice I dont have this issue with the MESSAGES+ PLUS APP and every message comes through on there, Im not a huge fan of that app and prefer the regular MESSAGES app for texting..How can I fix this and why am I not receiving some text anymore after the Marshmallow update? Thanks

Do you notice that this is happening with a specific contact, or does this seem to happen regardless of who you're messaging with? Are these standard texts, or is any media included?

It happens regardless the contact im messaging..These are all standard text messages, not media...This only started happening right after I upgraded to marshmellow...I also did a system reboot to clear out the old OS files and the problem still happens.
