I'm getting a replacement phone today - anyone ever use Tap and Go? From what I read, you need an NFC capable phone - has anyone used it? Any clues or instructions? Does it work well?
Here are the best instructions I've found. It's for Android 4 (Kitkat) and up.
How do I use Tap & Go?
When you set up your device, you can quickly copy any Google Accounts, backed-up apps, and data from your current Android device to your new Android device using Tap & Go. When you're prompted to use Tap & Go during the setup wizard, follow these steps to complete the process:
do you mean NFC enabled device that does samsung pay as such. and can transfer files by touching other device. i got s7edge and does such.
It's not specific to Samsung, but to Android phones with NFC. Apparently all you need to do is have NFC active on both phones, touch the backs of the phones together sign in to your account, and the phone does the rest.
I am wondering if anyone in this community has used this method for transferring their data to a new phone.
I TAKE IT MY ANSWER IS CORRECT
partially, I already KNEW how to do it . . . I haven't done it - I was asking: "has anyone used it? Any clues or instructions? Does it work well?" So, a proper answer would involve your experience with using Tap-N-Go.
good luck
I have used the Motorola Migrate application is functions similarly to transfer your data from one phone to another.
ok anns right, i assumed you meant nfc. you mean storage and restoration.
