how to get my Ellipsis 7 to accept the micro SD card and data?

I get the following message:

"Device storage is full, please delete useless files, otherwise application might exit unexpectedly."

I brought a micro SD card for my Ellipsis 7 tablet and it shows the available storage in Settings for the SD card, however, I continue to get the message even with the additional storage add and available.

Can anyone help? Does the software on the Ellipsis 7 tablet need to be updated?

Have you downloaded a file manager app from the Play Store and moved your files (music, videos, pictures, documents) from the tablet's internal storage to the SD card?
