I try to touch something on my galaxy s5 and it's frozen. I discovered I have to hit backspace then make my selection. Almost everything I do has to follow a back press now. This started about a week or 2 ago. Please Help!

I wouldn't be happy if my phone freezes and had to back press everytime to just get it phone working again. I'll be happy to help. What happened 2 weeks ago when this started happening, was there a change like an update or new application download or any type of physical damage on the device?
