Will Verizon release support of the extended emoji and skin tone selectors?

I just got the Nougat update on my LG G5 (VS987). I was excited because of the new extended emoji and skin tone selectors, but was disappointed when I realized that the emoji were not updated. Will Verizon release support of the extended emoji and skin tone selectors? or am I [Removed]?
