New phone and 2 year contracts

Question

My wife and i are slated for upgrade in November.  Since we're exiting Verizon customers we'd like to get a new 7 or 6s on a two year contract.  I've noticed that the Apple store allows this for Verizon customers.

So what is your question?

If you are on the Verizon Plan, you cannot get a 2yr contract thru a Verizon store, online or calling in. If the Apple Store is allowing a 2yr contract, get it from there.

If you are on an older legacy plan such as Nationwide or More Everything, you can get the 2yr contract option thru Verizon.
