Canceling iphone 7 order

i have placed an order for verizon to ship my iphone 7. I placed it september 18. And they told me i would get it by october 12. But now i want to cancel the order get my 60 something dollars refunded and order the phone via apple store and pick it up tommorow since theyll have more phones tommorow after being completely out of stock. Is it to late to cancel the order?
