Galaxy S5 marshmallow low volume

I have a Galaxy S5 and recently received the Andriod 6 (Marshmallow) upgrade. The issue I am having is that the volume is very low for notifications and system sounds. I have it all the way up but still too low. Alarms do not wake me in the morning because of the low volume. I have Google searched and have not found any answers. I have tried wiping cache in the recovery menu.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look no further help has arrived netaware2. I rely on my phone's alarm to wake up every morning so I completely understand your concern. Lets get to the bottom of this.

Is the volume normal when you receive calls or play music on the phone? Have you power cycled the phone since the software update?

Lets reset the network settings on the phone and retest. Go to Settings > Backup and reset. Tap on Reset network settings and Tap on Reset Settings.
