status : shipped this morning with tracking and email confirmation received
ship date : originally it was 10/5 on the email and the changed to 9/23 on the website. But when you call 611 depending on the rep I would get different dates. Go figure

Ordered a 256gb Matte Black on 9/16, still processing with expected 10/5. In store reps keep claiming they are receiving no box stock at all, yet every other retailer around my area has been getting replenishment stock in over the past week. Somewhat frustrating at this point.
I ordered jet black 128gb iphone 7 plus at 2:30am CST on 9/9 and my order say processing online no date and preparing for shipment when i call 611. Is this a good thing?
I think the "pending shipment" is just [removed] to get you to think it's coming soon. If it hasn't processed, there's no way it's pending shipment. They would have already charged your card. It is the exact same for me, processing on order details, but pending shipment on 611.

It's been in processing ever since then. No CC charge, the only movement was the ship date disappeared for about 4 days on the website but still showed when I pulled it up on mobile. We'll see what happens.
Ordered 9/9 @ 10am EST. Jet Black 128GB... CC was charged at about 10pm 9/26! Just shipped early this morning 9/27!
Ordered 9/9 Matte Black 128 +, Deliver by 10/05/2016 Still shows as "processing" on my order page.
The 128 was more affordable so more people got it then the 256GB I got so it will probably be a longer wait.
The bad part is it's instock at my local Apple store...I am thinking about getting it from them.

Im pissed because there are people who ordered after who have the jet black 128gb iphone 7plus before me. Verizon is full of it. EVERY rep i have spoken to gives a different story. Im over it and them!
I'm not going to call and complain unless it doesn't ship by 10/5. But if it doesn't ship by then, they WILL get a call. I'm already aggravated by the whole preorder process.
Card was charged 2 days ago...Still "processing"...
I am not going to call either till it goes past the promised date but they should refine the process a ton.
They need more order statuses and perhaps a little better idea where you are "in line"
If there is an issue with the order, it should show on the screen and not just a single email sent to the account owner.
