The phone has all of the band specifications needed for Verizon, but I have read it will not work on Verizon out of the gate, but sometime in the future? Was wondering if anyone could confirm this for me?
I was wondering the same. It has all the necessary bands for it work on Verizon.

I have a feeling it'll be awhile before they're certified for use in Verizon since they're flagship Moto Z phones are coming in almost the same time frame Axon 7 ships and they don't want any competition. Heck knowing Verizon, it might not get approved at all.
I want to know the same thing, please answer the question Verizon...
If the information in that link is correct, there are a few issues remaining for the phone to work on the Verizon Wireless network.
1. Has it been FCC certified for all of the VZW frequencies?
2. ZTE needs to provide the IMEI numbers of the compatible devices to Verizon Wireless to add to the database.
3. You will likely need a previously activated SIM card to test.
In that link I saw the phone isn't compatible with the EDVO Rev A 3G network Verizon Wireless uses. That might be a major stumbling block.
I know there are a lot of people wondering the same question. When??
i asked zte...they said axon wont do on cdma frequencies protocol
That's not true. ZTE VP of Technology, Jeff Yee stated they were waiting on Verizon for technical approval for the Axon 7 to work on Verizon's network.
As it sits at this point and time the device is banded to work with Verizon though it may only be activated with GSM networks at this time. ZTE is activately working with Sprint and Verizon for the device to be with their networks.
it is not compatible now, and thats what zte said. if it were.... i would buy one.
Correct. The Hardware is there. The software will just need a simple upgrade once approved. The ball is in Verizon's court, hence the question..."When will ZTE Axon 7 be supported by Verizon"
It needs to be approved by the FCC before it can be approved as a compatible devices for either Verizon or Sprint or US Cellular or any other regional CDMA carrier.
its almost equal to my s7edge for half the price and UNLOCKED.i missed that one, and it will have a usb c type port. the sound is true dolby stereo/i had the zte warp elite, sound was a concert hall.i know its camera is 7 mp larger than s7 and just 1 point short the flash duration. thats great for 400.
Kknight1, new software is exciting and we know that you are anxious for this. As things are always changing in the world of technology, watch for any news on a release at http://spr.ly/6588BxIGj. FYI just a real heads up.
I bet you don't see why I am pointing out it doesn't. There is MORE THAN ONE MODEL. It's the same thing with the HTC One M7, M8, and M9. People look a the general testing and not the one for specific models. The S7, and S7 Edge has the same problem, and everyone things FM radio should be on all versions for example. The problem is Samsung didn't pay licensing for certain models, and carriers aren't going to be paying them either and that's why those models don't have FM radio and other one does. Of course everyone will blame the carriers even when manufacturers said they do charge for hardware licensing, and software. :smileyhappy: but what do I know.
just agree axon not supported. and call for lunch.
The Axon 7 DOES work on Verizon. My buddy preordered one a couple weeks back and it arrived today. He let me put my Verizon sim into it. I had data, I could make calls and text, and pretty much everything I normally do with my phones. He even let me drive into rural areas of where I live that I know for a fact have only 3g, and it still worked. I had it for a few hours before returning it and going back to my Moto G4 Plus. On a side note, the sim only worked in the first sim slot. I'm gonna pick one up from my Best Buy tomorrow.
at bottom of page for axon 7 on best buy says....* Phone will not work with Sprint, Verizon, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile or any other CDMA carriers.
Anyone else have evidence?
EnochsLegacy, it can be nerve wrecking to chance buying a phone that may not work on the account. Verizon phones may not work on our network. Because we have no insite on the way manufacturers develope thier phones, we don't know if the phone will activate. In through private message or by calling into 800-922-0204 we can verify the MEID of a phone for compatibility.

Hey Gaddang2!
I REALLY love the Axon 7 and definitely want to buy it but I want to make sure it works with Verizon. How's it working for you so far? Any issues? Another user mentioned they could make calls, text, and use data but the phone was constantly roaming (so I'm not sure if he'll accrue charges for that). Please let me know! Thanks :smileyhappy:
It's supported. For anybody else looking for the answer. [Removed]
