How do I turn off auto add apps, and auto update apps?

My phone LG Exceed 2 updates and adds apps when I'm not looking, Things I will never use. taking up room I would rather use for other things. Is there a setting to make this stop or is this their way of getting me to buy a more expensive phone? It's a pre-paid phone.

Graason items added without permission is never a good thing as I'm sure you have your own information you want to add. This is not something that normally happens. Can you tell me what items are appearing without being added? To stop the auto updates your would go to Play Store - tap menu key - tap settings- tap auto-update apps - select only update over wi-fi.
