My recently downloaded ringtone is gone

I recently upgraded to a Droid Z phone. I downloaded a new ringtone into my phone though Verizon Tones. When I first download the new ringtone it appears in the ringtone selection and I select the new ringtone. After about 2-3 hours the ringtone is no longer there is no longer on the list. What gives?

guero80241 Congratulations on your new Droid Z phone. We want to make sure you get your ringtone working on this phone. Can you please do me a favor and make sure you have the latest version of the Verizon Tones. Do you get an error code?

I did download the latest version of Verizon tones.

I did in fact download my ringtone twice and for a while it was on the phone.

The new phone has had 5 software updates since I purchased the phone on 1/28/17

Perhaps the updates are the cause of the missing ringtone.
