How's it going to work when the other carriers get their own version?
They all do, as does ANYBODY you use to connect to the internet.
So we accept Verizon carrier is first to admit publicly they will sell your private information. The first carrier that allows an "opt out" clause will get my business. Why do you think state laws are already being passed to mandate the "opt out" option? We are all drones with no expectation of privacy.

Unfortunately the rule that would have required Verizon and other ISP companies to include an opt in or out to their privacy and data connection policies was voted to be abolished at the federal level.
