CONTENT TRANSFER

I purchased a new iPhone 7 in December, and had trouble restoring content from my backup on my iTunes/computer (due to the backup being inadvertently encrypted).

So, it's been a couple months now, I've been using the new phone, and much of my old content restored from the Cloud. However, I have a couple of old text threads that contain important-to-me family photos. When I look at the "info" section on the text thread, I can see place-holders from the older text thread, but the pics aren't actually there.

If I use the "Content Transfer" app between the old and new phone, is it going to wipe my new phone/current text content?, or will it just fill in the blanks with the old content?

MEREDITH50 We don't want you to lose your special memories. Let's see how we can assist you with saving your photos. Do you still have the old phone where the photos were originally saved? Are the only photos you're having trouble with restoring in the text thread on the new iPhone?

sheritah_vzw Yes. I mean - theoretically all the pics in all the threads are stuck in the old phone (which I do still have, intact and functioning).

If they are pictures I took, I have them backed up to a different source (dropbox.com). However, photos sent to me in the text thread, I didn't necessarily save to my camera roll.
