trouble retrieving email

Is anyone having trouble tonight retrieving their email from their Iphones tonight? I have deleted and readded the email account, reset the factory settings, and still can not get my email. I get the error message "cannot connect to server".

Are you able to connect to the internet with your phone's browser?

What is the email server showing that error (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)?

Are you able to access your email if you login to that email on your computer?
