How are you guys doing with a success rate of getting your rebates? I have been trying for more than 5 months to get the buy one get one rebate for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge promotion. It's been so long, that there is a new Samsung Galaxy phone coming out next week. Interestingly enough, again with the "free" promotions for a gear device. Don't fall for this promotion without hearing what I'm going through trying to get my rebate.
I have made more than 20 calls to both Verizon and the rebate center and I keep getting fed the same line of bull about wait another 15 days. My status keeps getting flipped from in progress to invalid. Every time i call Verizon/Rebate center they state that all the documentation is in line and i should be hearing something very soon. I know the rebate documentation was done correctly, because an employee at the Verizon store did it for me. He cut the UPC, filled out the forms, and even mailed them for me. So, there is no question the documentation is right!
I have endured a horrible experience with Verizon and Samsung over this rebate. this rebate is worth $800. I would not have bought two phones if I knew it was going to require me to add another line and incur the device costs and the line access fees for this long without a rebate. I would have just upgraded my single device.
I am typing a letter to the Better Business Bureau right now about this. I am going to call Verizon corporate and Samsung Corporate over this. This is clearly a bait and switch tactic or a full of it marketing strategy to get more of my money. I have 5 lines of service with Verizon and pay hundreds a month in service. I am ready to take all of my business elsewhere if this is how I'm going to be treated.
How have you gotten your situations resolved? How long did it take for you to get your rebates?
