Restore failed - Verizon Cloud

My phone has factory reset and I am trying to restore the text messages through verizon cloud. Unfortunately I keep getting a 'Restore failed' message after a few minutes.

I have already tried restarting the phone.

I have already tried clearing the app cache of the entire phone.

I have already verified that it is the Verizon cloud app.

I have a strong wi-fi signal as well as a 4G signal.

I have no pending updates.

We want to make sure you are able to get your previous message back. What messaging app are you using? Were you able to get other Verizon Cloud content to restore?
