WiFi connected but doesn't work

I have very poor WiFi connection with my new iPhone7 that I just bought Saturday. I can't access websites or retrieve email. All my other devices work just fine, so it's not my server or wireless router. I had no problems with my iPhone5, where the WiFi was immediate and LTE was slower. I don't want to use up all my data when I'm home and could be using WiFi. What's the problem?

MAUGIF18, we don't want this to be an ongoing problem on your device. Have you powered your device off/on since this issue started?

Let's make sure that Wi-Fi Assist is disabled by tapping Settings>Cellular>Wi-Fi Assist toggle to OFF.

Next, start fresh by removing that Wi-Fi connection in Settings>Wi-Fi>Select your home Wi-Fi network>select Forget. You will then need to connect to that Wi-Fi again. Keep us posted and let us know if these steps work for you. http://vz.to/2hMVNg8

I tried all this and it didn't help. And now I'm having trouble keeping the phone connected to WiFi, it keeps reverting to Lte every time I try using email or web or apps like I Heart Radio. My iphone5 was working fine and my other devices are fine, so its not my wifi.

We want your phone to connect to WiFi as intended, MAUGIF18. Are you able to connect to other WiFi networks? Do you experience same issues with other WiFi networks?
