Hello, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I am currently now on a Verizon Prepaid Daily Plan. Which is I pay $1.99 on the days used, text messages are 2 cents, etc. My current phone is the "Verizon Wireless CDM7076 Prepaid". It is a very cheap phone, so I'm looking into getting a newer, better phone. Which I have done. I have just recieved the Motorola Citrus Prepaid Smartphone in the mail today from eBay. It's brand new, not even opened. But I have a question regarding smartphones and the prepaid plans.
It says on Verizon that a monthly and data plan are REQUIRED for use with prepaid blackberrys/smartphones. But that is where I am confused. Because on the outside of the Citrus box, it says on a yellow sticker, "Unlimited calling now just $1.99/day". But yet when I open the flap, only to see it to reveal the monthly plans. There is nowhere that lists anything about the $1.99 unlimited calling. Now, from my knowledge, the unlimted calls for $1.99 a day, is the exact same as the prepaid DAILY plan. Where you pay $1.99 on the days used to make a call. So why does the Citrus only show monthly plans listed for $45+?
Another question. Is it possible to use this Motorola Citrus Prepaid Smartphone, on a daily plan? And buy the Data Package seperate? Such as, can I still only pay $15 a month to add $15 to my phone, and then pay $30 for unlimited data? Or do I have to get the monthly plan which is $45 + the $30 unlimited data? Because currently I am paying $15 a month for my CDM7076 phone to keep it activated etc.
I am a bit worried because I cannot afford to pay $45 for the Talk monthly plan, along with $30 for the unlimited data. If someone can please explain all the necessary things I need to know for use of a prepaid smartphone on the verion network, it would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.
