4g lte has been very slow..

I bought my Galaxy Note 2 in December. When I first started using it, my 4g LTE speeds running speedtest.net were 3000kbps to 9800kbps and were all over the board from speedtest to speedtest. Past month or so, I've been lucky to ever hit 3500kbps, and most of my tests are below 2000kbps, with many hitting as low as 339kbps.

I'm no amature, and I do my tests from the same area and check my bars before I run. My tests are all running with 4bars.

Any ideas on why it is so slow.... Doesn't Verizon have a 2000kbps minimum guarantee for 4g LTE?? If so, the majority of the time, I'm not getting what I was promised. I'm in an area which is supposed to have decent 4g LTE (Boise, Idaho)..

Where are you when you run these tests?

3mb seems pretty slow by today's standards

Mine have been up and down for 2 years. While I normally average better than what you're seeing, there have been times (a couple of months here and there) where I would only get 3-5mbps. Right now I average between 10 and 20, but there have been much slower months in the past. I have know idea why, but it always speeds back up eventually.

Im in my office like I have been with all my previous tests back in december which were sometimes hitting 7mb and 8mb. Now I'm hitting under 2mb way too often. At the moment my pings are 181 which tells me that bandwidth is getting hammered. Too many people on one line..

I don't know where everyone's getting 3mb from... I don't think I've ever had 3mb (download) on my phone ever. I live in Nampa and it's really random. Sometimes I'll get lucky and get Clearwire speeds (500kb to 1.5mb). I've had 4G service for the past 2 years and I got to say I'm VERY disappointed. Also, I've tried using my phone's internet in Boise and it's literally hit or miss. My friend lives on 8th street (literally downtown Boise - in the middle of everything) and a few times I've gone over there my 4G kicked down to 3G. It's got to be amazing for those people that say they average over 20mb... holy crap.

My tests have been awful. I just recieved the Droid DNA and I am averaging around .3 mbps. that is terrible. My droid x2 was faster. I have replaced the phone once already because of this (as per suggestion by the tech on the phone) and it is not any better. Why am i paying for all this data if it is slow as dirt. We need someone from Verizon to chime in here.

I have a droid Bionic (I know) When I first got it I was hitting 30 MB down and usually around 20 to 25 MB up. Now every time I run speedtest it is 6 mb down and usually 3 to 4 MB up sometimes even less than 1 mb up. I know a lot has to do more people on 4g now and probably has to do with them upgrading the system to all 4g. But in less than 2 years The speeds are much less around where I live. Trust me when I say I've done all the tricks I've had 3 different Bionics 3 different sim cards.
