No LTE signal, coverage map shows full coverage.

So, my wife and I are in the process of purchasing a house, and the area in question should, according to Verizon's coverage map, have full LTE coverage.

Sadly, the best I have been able to get was 2 or 3 bars of 3G on my Samsung Galaxy S6. (Same for my wife's S6.)

This is in the McCormick Woods area of 98367.

I know we have wifi calling these days, but I actually use my service as a backup for my home internet since I work from home, so that is not really a good solution.

What are my options for better coverage?

We definitely want you to have the service you need where you need it. To be sure, are you having issues both indoors and out? Or are you having issues throughout the area? Are you aware of others in the area with similar concerns?

Indoors, outdoors and down the street.

Once we get out of the general neighborhood we do start to see LTE signal again.

I have not talked to any of the neighbors about the wireless signal yet.

No, I have not talked to anyone about a Network Extender yet.

We have not yet closed on the house yet, and do not have internet at the property yet.

Additionally, while the network extender would help for day to day usage, it wouldn't do much good for using the phone and data connection as a backup for if/when my home internet connection goes down. :smileyhappy:

Zephaniah, thank you for this information. I want to take a closer look at the area to ensure that this isn't just an issue with your devices. How long have you been in this area? I just want to confirm, is this area surrounded by a trees?

Hi.

We were down there on Wednesday, and that was our first time in the neighborhood.

We will be back at the house on Thursday, and will be able to spend a little more time checking the signal in different locations.

The area, like the vast majority of western Washington State, has a fair number of trees. But no more on average than most other places in the area with a good LTE signal. :smileyhappy:
