The Verizon home internet is unbearable. I live in a household of four, and when I am the only person on the internet (otherwise known as home alone), I have a ping of about 30-40ms with minor spikes to ~200ms (compared to the previous provider's stable ping of 5-10ms, regardless of usage). If just one other person happens to get onto the WiFi (i.e. watch TV), the internet stops working. Ping of 1,500ms, ~5mb/s download speed, and >1mb/s upload speed. Comparatively, the previous provider had the aforementioned stable ping, upwards of ~1,200mb/s download speed, and ~100mb/s upload speed. If one would want to do something with the internet, it would be nearly impossible. Want to play an online game? How about an average of 200ms? Want to upload a 150mb file to your drive? How about waiting for an hour with a 2mb/s upload and it's still not finished? This internet makes completing any task that requires using the internet completely unbearable.
