Cannot Redeem $200 Amazon Gift Card

I recently signed up for 5G Home Internet and was given the option to redeem the $200 Amazon Gift Card, XBox or Echo. I clicked on the link to redeem the offer from the email I received and then I got an error message. I went back to the email to click the link again and it was no longer an option. How am I supposed to successfully redeem the offer?

Same here. I signed up for service on 11/20 and when I got the email that I could choose my offer, I went in and selected the Amazon gift card. Got an error message and when I went back to try again the option was gone. Spoke to an agent and they said I should get an email once my router was delivered and activated. Paid extra for expedited shipping and it still delivered 2 days later. Okay so I finally get the router and activate it on 11/22, still no email. Now an agent is telling me I have to have the service for 60 days and then after 60 days of service, I'll get an email. I thought I had to redeem the gift card within 60 days, so now I'm confused. Feels like the offer was click bait to sign up at this point.

You got an email shortly after connecting your Verizon home internet about the gift card though? I connected mine like the 14th of November and they are saying I have to wait 60 days before I get an email. Verizon. Which is true. Should i of already gotten an email like this person (Lorim2023)? Or do I have to wait 69 days before I hear from you? (After Christmas). Would be nice to know.

I thought the same thing. The way they word it is ridiculous. They say "set up the Internet then redeem it within 60 days" or whatever. It doesn't say you have to wait 60 days TO redeem it. Real bummer.

I recently had Xfinity bundle. After 2 weeks of a runaround with customer service they cancelled half of my bundle. Raised the price of the service I was "allowed to keep". So I began exploring other options. I settled on the Verizon plan for 5g home network a phone line and a tablet line. Bit of a sticker shock after all said and done. But I know Verizon has Good service.

The Offer of the 200 Amazon gift card, Xbox,or The Echo. It was a good Offer so I went with it over T-Mobile and the free TV. I set up my Internet and new phone and tablet. I received the email with the offer. I clicked on it. It took me to the app and it only showed me 2 choices. Gift card or Echo. Well honestly the Xbox series s was what I was going to get. And it wasn't there. So I backed out. Finished the setup of my devices. Then I went to find the Offers and the tile was now gone. The email nolo ger had a link except for The cancellation of previous service voucher for $500.

When I tried following the instructions found on the Verizon help pages. I couldn't sign into the HOME profile. Everytime I signed in with the ONLY profile I had created it took me to my mobile account. In the app and online. There was a tab for Mobile or Home. I would choose the Home tab then try to access the My Offers Page. It kept telling me I had to sign in with my Home Account. Which I had done over and Over. I had combined my Sign ins in one of the first steps in activating the App.

Then after much much research and reading of the forums. Hours. I find this is a common issue going back months. And the forums only contain questions and no answers. The Verizon reps don't even give answers. They say to the people we will contact you via private message. No answers for the rest of us. And I know if I call customer service I will get the same delay. Same answers everyone else is getting. No answer.

I spent almost 30 hours going thru the ringer with Xfinity and their customer service over a 2 week period. And now it seems I face the same Hill. Again. This time with Verizon. I can't understand why this issue has went on for months with no fix. Is it just a holiday gimmick to lure people in. Big companies knowing the average guy isn't able to do much about it. They get you to sign a contract then hang you out to dry? I really like the services I have gotten. A little pricey but worth the solid coverage and high speeds.

It's not like the Offers are really that big of a deal. It's more the fact that it's irritating. And not a hard thing to fix. So tomorrow I will begin calling customer service. Again. The very thing that drove me from Xfinity. Hours and hours wasted with no fix. Turning red thinking about it.

I will post a fix or an update depending on my results. Thanks in advance to anyone that can save me a week of my Life. Especially seeing how there is a time limit for the offer to be redeemed. Deep breath. Wish me luck

Don't bother wasting your time. They worded the promotional offer all wrong apparently just to draw you in an irritate you. I never personally saw anything about the Xbox. I was going for the gift card.

The offer said something about getting an email about the offer after it's setup, right? Wrong. The agents will tell you, you will receive an email 60 days AFTER it's setup. So don't expect anything until next year is my guess. I'd say if you want to stick with it, at least keep a dialog on record of them saying you'd get it and your complain as insurance, but don't expect a quick fix.

The issue is on Verizons end. Very shotty way to promote their promotional offer. Very deceiving. Keep a dialog on record with them as insurance then wait 60 days after your initial setup to MAYBE hear something from them. Then if not. Say you waited the 60 days they said you had wait.

Ok I know you guys are talking about the wording. Well it's not in the wording. It specifically says must redeem with in 60 days of activation or by a certain date. Which is with in those 60 days. I'm posting the fine print here. So if by Chance it is 60 days AND THEN you can claim it. Well that's not possible. Because in 60 days the promotion is over or the supplies run out. Whichever comes first. Which is the end of the promotion. So in other words there is no possibility of claiming it. Because the due date listed is within 51 days and then I'm out of luck Right. So I'm either being set up to Fail. Or it's a gimmick. False advertising.

That's exactly what I was thinking. But apparently according to every agent I've talked with. That's just not true. We're the fool in their eyes. Not them.

You could argue what the wording means is activation of the gift card and not your internet. But they mention nothing about having to wait 60 days to even get the gift card in the first place...

I don't know who you sent the private note to. But I noticed the capture of the fine print is gone. I can't see it in the post I made. But it clearly states must be done within 60 days of activation of the 5g network. And I have a second email that says it directly in the text and the fine print. I'm a little upset

Ok. I'm really upset now. Customer service gave me a runaround. They couldn't figure out what to do on their end. So he gives me a toll free number to call and says that they can fix the issue there. The number was an automated line giving the card balance. No other options. Then a representative called me back when I hung up. She said she created an escalation ticket and it would be reviewed within 7 to 10 days. And then within 2 to 4 weeks after that I would receive an answer in my email.

So....I got the same response that others said I would get. And they waited and waited and still have the issue months later. Im responding to Geos post. See if they can resolve this so. I'll try burning the candle at both ends.

Seems like a lot of people are having this issue. I went to the store ND was told to look on the app, where I had already been looking, if it wasn't there I would have to call customer service. But lo and behold the live chat doesn't work and there is no option for "claiming perks" in the call section. So this seems to be the only way of getting any actual help.

Did you get this issue resolved? I called twice and they’ve just “escalated”the issue and I’ve gotten 0 help. I’ve had the service for 2 weeks now. It’s ridiculous.

No. Not solved. I spoke with them one more time and they said they'd write a "ticket". So I just assume I'm not going to get that gift card anymore. They lost a home internet customer for life.

Update: I still have not received any word about the gift card. I spoke with an an assistant on the virtual chat and they said the claim will be submitted 7-10 business days but I received no confirmation of the conversation or confirmation of the claim. What are the next steps I need to take? It sounds like many people are running into the same issue and Verizon is just giving us the runaround.

I had the same issue. I’ve spoke to them about it 4 times. Their “fix” was to escalate and now the gift card will be sent in 4-6 weeks. They say it’s nothing they can do which is messed up because in the original fine print which I took a screenshot of, we were supposed to be able to receive the gift card in 24-48 hours after redemption via email.

I had this same issue. I confirmed multiple times by message and calling if we would be getting this Xbox and Amazon card and was told yes. I signed up on Cyber Monday. I received it last night but haven't gotten any information to receive the Xbox or Amazon card. What did I miss?

Can you please assist me with this promotion as well? I chose the option for the $200 Amazon.com gift card in the app and the app gave me an error message. The promotion is no longer showing and it has been nearly a week. I have not received an email.

I called customer support and they were unable to help. I understand this is difficult for you as a representative but I'd like assistance with redeeming this promotional offer that I was promised please. I would not have signed up for Verizon home internet otherwise so I'd like to get my gift card as soon as possible.

SAme issue. I received the email. I can see the reward to redeem but it’s greyed out.

This is the issue I am having as well. I received the email and the Amazon options are there but grayed out. It let me do the XBox offer but I’m not sure it went through.

This happened to me as well. I was able to claim the XBox but not sure if it worked. I tried claiming the Amazon gift and the options were grayed out like the picture shows. Does the 5G Home internet have to be set up first or something before you can claim?

All I get is somebody sending me an email every day saying did you get it to work and the answer has not changed no I have sent the email through or processed the order for the gift card for $200 through Amazon at Verizon's website but have not received an email with any type of code I have checked both Verizon app and online website and every single one of my emails junk spam etc and nothing....

I had same issue. I called Verizon and spoke with Johan, he stayed on the phone with me for almost 2 hrs to find a resolution. I was using Google and he suggested a different browser. I opened up Internet Explorer for Android, added Verizon to home screen, signed in, went to my account, selected Amazon Gift card, accept terms, select Got It. It then took me to a screen to confirm terms and conditions again, select a tile with image, submit and then gives confirmation #. It takes 48 hrs to arrive to email. Long story short...try a different browser.

I have read through 100s of complaints about this issue. I am having the same problem. I have no way to "register" for the gift card. The instructions from Verizon DO NOT WORK! Why is this so hard for Verizon to resolve? This is enough to drive me back to Comcast.

I'm being Denied My Xbox and my $200 Amazon Gift Card and my Verizon $100 Gift card I was Promised when I signed up for 5G Plus Home Internet. Yes, all 3 were part of the promotion when I signed up thru the Verizon App on Dec. 18th. It took me 4 Boxes and multiple trips back to the Verizon Store to get the 4th Box to Activate. Never got an E-mail about activating the Rebates but did get a text about one, followed the Link to my Account and nothing there. Multiple calls to Customer Service and no their saying the Xbox is denied because I didn't sign up online and went thru the store which I didn't, but they screwed it up because of all the boxes I went thru to get one to work.

I attempted to redeem my gift card today and even spoke with a Verizon representative. They guided me through the same basic steps I had already taken, such as cleaning the cache and trying different devices (he closed the chat, by the way). The issue appears to be with the server's inability to process the client's request, so it's not a problem from the end-user side. Given my background in the technical field of networking and cybersecurity, this problem cannot be resolved by simply clearing 'the cache' or trying another 'device.' When it comes to issues like this, there's always a 'but'; things never go smoothly, and there's always a catch.

what about me, I'm the one that posted what she was replying to. I spent 1 and 1/2 hour on the phone yesterday and was late for work because of this mess. Now I get an E-mail today saying I'm being charged $200 for one of the 4 BOXES I received before I could get 1 of them to work. I've returned 2 and am STILL WAITING for the return shipper to send back the last one.

I have tried every browser, private browser, mobile/pc/mac, deleting cookies/browser information, have spoken/chatted with multiple representatives and still getting the error message "the requested URL was not found in this server" when trying to claim offers ($200 Verizon GC, $100 Fanatics.com GC).

I also can't process the gift card. I have called Verizon multiple times and they said the only way to get the promo to work is through the website. I click on the gift card, click redeem, and get the sorry there was an error message. No one has given me a solution...I switch to this plan for this promo. The Xbox promotion did require that the purchase be completed online, and unfortunately if the purchase was made at a store, you would not be eligible. We do want to make sure that you're able to process a return for the additional devices you received. To clarify, did you already send back 3 of the 4 boxes? As long as we receive the return, the charge will be removed from your account once our warehouse accounts for it.
