So,
I, like many others, signed up for the home internet during the "Free Xbox Series S" deal and was told that in 14 days I would be eligible to claim my gaming system. No problem. I waited and on the 14th day I received an e-mail from Verizon telling me that my Xbox was ready to be claimed. (The fine print says I have 60 days to do so).
I clicked the link that was supposed to take me to my account and to a tile to redeem the system. No tile to redeem was on my account anywhere under the "Make the most out of my plan" section. So I called Verizon (I needed to switch my phone service over anyway). The representative on the phone said he wasn't sure why it was not showing up, as my account was eligible and he put in a trouble ticket for me.
I have not heard back on the trouble ticket at all, so today I called again. I was told by the representative lady that the e-mai (which specifically says my Xbox was ready to be redeemed) that the e-mail was just a reminder to let me know that I was eligible and that I would need to wait 60 days before I could claim it (Which, if you remember the fine print on the e-mail means that the offer would then be null and void).
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given the run around for more than an hour waiting for the supervisor who was not available. I was then told to wait another 10 days and then to try again and it should be available. So I'm curious if anyone out there has actually been able to redeem their Xbox or not? She said that there was never a trouble ticket put in by the first representative (when i could clearly see it in the My Verizon app) and that the supervisor, while not available, had her put in a trouble ticket for it and that I should wait to hear from Verizon.
Anyone actually gotten their Xbox? It seems like quite a number of people in the forums are having similar issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
