I switched to the 5G Plus Home Internet to get the free Xbox. I spent many hours on the phone with many different agents a few times over a few weeks trying to get the Xbox. It was never anything but a confusing headache and getting the run around. I should have heeded the red flags but I was determined to get the promised Xbox to give my 11 year old son for Christmas. Well after much frustration and even angry tears I finally had a white Xbox Series S delivered to me, so I did get my Xbox. However, today when the bill was paid through autopay they had put TWO $499 equipment charges on the bill. An auto payment of over $1100 was made today! I immediately got in contact with customer service and have been getting the run around for the last 5 hours. In what world does 1 free promotional Xbox S Series justify TWO $499 equipment charges. Iโm just in shock. I thought Verizon was a good company. Now Verizon makes me want to throw up and I couldnโt regret switching my internet from TMobile (which was great) to Verizon more if you paid me. I will tell anyone who will listen what a horrible experience I have had with Verizon. It floors me that they can run a business like this. Like I said, Iโm just in shock I canโt believe what a completely misleading promotional campaign this is and what a frustrating experience. Iโm going to fight this to get the $1000 back. I have screen shots of everything possible from the advertisement to a pdf receipt showing $0.00 charged/owed for the Xbox.

I'm sorry to hear that you have those two charges of $499.99 for the Xbox that should be free. We also apologize for the time it took for you to get your Xbox. We'd love to help you figure out what's going on and get to the bottom of this. We're going to send you a Private Message so we can gather more details.

This whole experience has been a nightmare and I have nothing good to say about Verizon. A month and a half of getting the run around and lied to.

Did you get this resolved? Promos delivered as promised and a refund?
