1 GiG connectivity issues

Recently upgraded from 75/75 to 1 Gig. Installer assured me that connectivity would reach all parts of home as he wanted to out the router in basement where it was already installed prior.  He told me I no longer needed coax cords and cut them.  As soon as he left my tv wasn’t working, computer wasn’t getting connectivity and cell phones .   I spent endless hours on phone with Verizon sometimes 3 times per day trying to resolve.  I was offered a man extender for additional 10.00 per month.  Originally I declined.  Another week another ticket another repair person sent out.  He stated the connection couldn’t go through my floor of my 1,000 sq foot home. He drilled through new baseboards we just had installed and all seemed fine, until half hour after he left connection issues continued.  Multiple phone calls again multiple hours again spent calling and holding for Verizon tech . And trouble shooting I was told it was fixed.  Still having issues on gaming computer. Was told extender would fix I finally broke down and agreed or pay the 10.00 a month.  Quickly remembered the first installer cut the coax cord and I would need a 3 rd repair person to re install coax cords.  I was told I would be charged for this service or could wait for a technician supervisor to call me in a few days.  I am so fustrated and wish I could return to my 75/75 service.  My home is only 1,000 square feet and my bedroom is less than 100 ft from router this shouldn’t be happening.  I would like to have this resolved as soon as possible with no cost to me as the customer.
