I am so disappointed with Verizon. I have been with them for over a decade and have never had any problems with them until now. I also switched to the home internet and was promised the $200 gift card. The email I got when I signed up said I had to subscribe to Home Internet for a few months before I was eligible for the gift card, so I waited. After a few months, I never received anything. I called Verizon and confirmed I had never received the promotion. They reassured me that the problem was corrected, and I would receive the promotional email to redeem my gift card within 30 days. Well, 30 days came and went, so I called back, and this time, Verizon told me the promotion had expired.
HOW CAN IT EXPIRE WHEN I SIGNED UP DURING THE PROMOTION, NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING, AND WAITED AS INSTRUCTED? UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AND VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
This is the first time in the 12-13 years I have been with Verizon that I have been upset with them, so I was going to forget about it because I have never had any issues with Verizon and love the service, but the more and more I think about this and paying my bill the first time after being told this has bothered me more than I thought it would. I am thinking of leaving over this, as annoying as that will be with setting everything up over again, but I think every time I pay my bill from now on, I will get increasingly upset, so I don't see a choice.
Shame on Verizon. Shameful. It is one thing to have glitches and mistakes on promos, but it should not be this difficult or stressful to fix the problems, and you should NEVER, NEVER be unwilling to fix the problem!!!
