$200 Home Depot gift card promo issue

Back in May I signed up for the offer that I saw online - upgrade my Home internet with verizon and get a $200 gift card after 60 days. 60 days later, no gift card in site. I called and was told it would show up "any day now" and that I should wait "7 to 14 business days." 14 days later, nothing. I called again yesterday to follow up, and still nothing. I'm currently on hold and have been regarding this same issue for 40 minutes. The representative is clueless.

I'm looking on the community forum now and seeing dozens of others with this same issue. Either someone at Verizon messed up big time, or Verizon deliberately posted a misleading promo with no intention of following through. Either way, I am requesting a $200 credit on my Verizon account.

Following up because the Verizon supervisor I talked to today  Christina told me that they couldnโ€™t find record of this promo on their end. Sounds like. Verizon problem, as hereโ€™s an outside source reporting on the deal:

I've had the same problem with trying to redeem my Home Depot gift card offer. I ordered the gift card it said I should receive it within 2-3 weeks which it never arrived.  I contacted support and was on with them for more than an hour and they ended up saying they will create a case and someone will contact me within 3-5 days.   STILL NOTHING

Sounds like they are scanning all of us. (Wouldn't let me use m's-said it was a bad word) I have been running in circles trying to redeem my HD gift card  as I read many others have too.  With the technology we gave, how can they have so many issues?  Has anyone had a resolution yet?
