5G Home Internet Promotion Issue and Chat Issue

Hello!  I don't usually voice my issues, but after being a Verizon customer for over 10 years, I am a little frustrated with Verizon. To back up, I signed up for the Verizon 5G internet in May. When i signed up for the internet, I didn't realize i had sent it to the wrong address until  mins after I placed the order so I wasn't able to cancel it. I decided to go to the chat for help with this situation. Now, when I signed up for the internet it was under the promotion of either a $200 gift card for Home Depot, or a Nintendo switch. I sent in a chat stating what had happened and that I would like to cancel that order and re-order exactly but to have it shipped to my correct address. After an hour of discussion, chatting to 4 different agents and re-counting everything every time i thought it was all solved. Fast forward to now I hopped on the "chat with a live agent" again to check my promotion status, and they are telling me I was not eligible. So, once again for the umpteenth time i re-counted what had happened and was then told "I have conducted thorough research on that and it appears that you did qualify for the promotion"  I am thinking okay great, Verizon is rectifying the situation I will be getting an email to redeem the gift card. Wrong. I did get an email to redeem for the NFL Sunday package. I don't watch the NFL, this does me no good. While I am appreciative that Verizon at least followed up with a promotion, I was under the impression based on above sentence that I would be getting the gift card promotion. So, once again i head on over to the "chat with a live agent" recount what has happened, and this time I am told that I was only eligible for the NFL Sunday package. I am not trying to be ungrateful, but i am so frustrated that I did everything right in the beginning, but in the end am getting screwed over. I don't think the Verizon chat people are very good at communicating at all and gives false information, or at lease leaves out pertinent information. And I will take some blame here as maybe i didn't ask the right questions or something. At this point it isn't even about the promo as much as it's about the fact that I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 10 years, and they won't even let me trade in the NFL package (valued at over $449) for a $200 gift card that i actually will use. Highly disappointed, and may be looking into other providers now.

Been with Bell Atlantic->NYNEX->Verizon for almost 35 years through all the name changes, plans, etc.  Including FIOS.  I pay and have paid an absolute fortune.  Anytime a Verizon representative (in-store or on phone) has been involved I’ve been screwed.  Don’t deal with a VZW human for any orders or changes of service.  Just don’t.
