5G Home Internet on my home firewall cannot log into Netflix. Sparklight modem works fine.

Harishnikov2024

I use Sparklight (for years) but was by a local Verizon store's seemingly knowledgeable salesperson invited to try the 5G Home Internet Gateway, the CR200A. It connects up, and through its interface says the signal is very good where I have it positioned. Signal is about -90db. I have a Watchguard Firewall with Sparklight on its primary external interface and the rest of my network on its internal interface. When I plug in LAN2 from the CR200A and reboot everything, it seems to connect up as expected, yet Netflix (while it shows network can connect) cannot seem to load. So I disable passthrough mode on the CR200A and reboot everything again with the same problem. Then I swap cables on the external interface to use the Sparklight modem, reboot everything, and all is well.

I'd consider Verizon 5G Home Internet if I could just figure out how to get Netflix working in either passthrough or non-passthrough mode.

Tech support says there's issues between the tower and my gateway, but won't give me a ticket number for their offline technical support. I'm 2+ weeks into my month long free trial, and worried I won't have it working and will need to box the CR200A up and send it back. I wish I could reach an expert.
