5G is the worst

I installed the 5G home service last week. It has been either totally out or has poor connectivity.
This morning the streaming quality is erratic and unacceptable.
I live in upstate New York and certainly there is no excuse in 2023 that Verizon could have that would explain first- the lies Verizon advertises that their internet service is better than all the other competitors- and secondly, that there is a minimum speed that will be reached when you use their product.
If you need your internet for your income-buyer beware!

When I received my bill I saw that instead of a $35/ per month charge, it was $45. I had been bumped up to 5g home internet “plus”. I asked Verizon to stand behind my request for the $35/month 5 g home internet plan. About 7-8 pm this evening I was bumped down to $35/month.
Well- tonight about 11:02 pm, there is no internet connection, there is freezing, it is down and out AGAIN.
I am of the opinion like other customers, that unless you pay the highest level of internet service, you will get the worst service.
Verizon should just state up front-with the $35/mo 5g internet plan-you will get the WORST available internet service in the NY Capital District area.
I will go back to spectrum. They have horrid customer service and I’ll pay more. But guess what? I will have reliable internet.

We're sorry to read about the issue with your Home internet service. How long does the service get interrupted? What do you have to do to get it running again? ~Peter

Same here. Tried it twice - the first time the Verizon rep actually told me to cancel the service as the coverage is not up to par. Fast forward about a year and I tried it again based on “improvements made”. Dropping multiple times a day, always during meetings or kids school. Zero chance I’d ever recommend 5g home (I’m in Southern California). I’ll gladly pay 3x the monthly rate to go back to a consistent online experience.
